About us
About FACE Kids is a choral day camp located in central Albany for children aged 9 -14 years. Seventy-five children spend four days in the July School Holidays pursuing their love of singing in a safe, exciting and uplifting environment.
Three experienced vocal coaches share vocal techniques, and guide the choir through the nuances of ensemble singing. The superior repertoire will inspire and challenge the choir, and children learn how to follow a musical score as they sing in three-part harmony.
Involvement in About FACE Kids extends much further than excellent music education. The hidden elements of the About FACE Kids program include confidence building, resilience, and team work.

Camp Activities
About FACE Kids runs from 9.00am – 3.30pm from Tuesday to Friday. On Friday evening the About FACE Kids choir performs a concert for the general public.
Each day begins with a singing-based game to fire up our brains for a day of creativity, learning and music-making.
After lunch, children participate in games and challenges designed to develop resilience, communication, social awareness, leadership, problem-solving and trust.
Archery Tag, ZONK challenges and G.R.I.T activities foster team work and friendships while nurturing positive attitudes towards success and failure.
In addition to singing some amazing songs, teams rotate through fun-filled physical activities.

How to Join
Children don’t need any choir experience to join About FACE Kids.
All our music is sung in three-part harmony. This requires strong voices in each of the vocal registers; high, middle and low. Auditioning before the camp enables us to assign children to the part that best suits their vocal range. Children audition in groups of eight.
The audition will be very relaxed and a positive experience for all children. Where possible, we partner children from the same school together.

CAMP Fee
There is an About FACE Kids CAMP fee of $350.
The camp fee covers:
Vocal tuition fees
Hire of camp and concert venues

If, after the audition, your child is offered a position in About FACE Kids, you will be sent information on how to pay the registration fee.
